Western North Carolina's premier private dining establishment. The original house was built in the mid eighteen hundreds and is the oldest structure in Sapphire Valley. It was part of a farm that supplied meat, vegetables, and dairy products to the old Fairfield Inn. In addition it served as a home to several families over the years, with many descendants and previous occupants being Library club members today. Great efforts were taken to protect the architectural integrity of the original "farmhouse". The club underwent a major renovation in 1999 with a new great room, patio, and gazebo added. Subtle changes continue, the intention always in an effort to enhance your visit. With three Culinary Institute of America trained chef's with over 50 years of combined experience commitment to quality remains our pursuit. As you share this charming atmosphere, we hope you relax, meet new friends and enjoy your Library experience.
