Celebrity Chef Michael Symon, along with Executive Chef Derek Clayton, lead the culinary team at Lola. Michael's talents in the kitchen eventually led to several Food Network shows including the host of Season Five of Dinner Impossible and as Iron Chef Symon in the popular Iron Chef America series. Symon is a two time nominee for "Best Chef Great Lakes", by the James Beard Foundation, winning that honor in 2009. Symom was also recognized by Food & Wine Magazine's "Ten Best Chefs in America."
